I need help

  1. Search directly: Filter the “Find Services” directory by category and area, see each pro's profile, prices and reviews, and call or WeChat them directly.
  2. Post a job: Click “Post a job” and describe what, where, when and your budget. Pros will send you quotes.
  3. Choose a pro: Compare quotes on the job page and click “Choose”. Only the chosen pro sees your phone / WeChat.
  4. Write a review: When the work is done, mark the job “Completed” and leave the pro an honest review.

I'm a pro / business

  1. After signing up, click “Become a Pro” and fill in your services, areas, phone, prices and more. Listing is completely free.
  2. Your profile appears in the directory and customers can contact you directly.
  3. Browse customer jobs in “Job Board” and quote. Once a customer chooses you, you'll see their contact details.
  4. Do good work and earn reviews — businesses with more good reviews rank higher.

FAQ

What does “Unclaimed” mean in the directory?

These listings were compiled by LingGong from public directories. The businesses haven't joined, so they can't receive messages or quote online. You can call them directly; please verify details yourself first.

Can I ask several businesses to quote at once?

Yes. In the directory tick “Add to compare” on the businesses you want to compare (up to 5), click “Ask them to quote” and post one job — they all get invited, and other suitable nearby pros can see it and quote too.

How can I tell if a quote is too high?

When you post a job you'll see typical prices for similar jobs; the “Price Guide” page lists typical ranges from real quotes, and each quote shows whether it's above or below typical. Compare at least 3 quotes and ask whether materials are included.

What's the difference between “✓ Licence verified” and “Self-reported licence”?

Electrical, gas, HVAC and similar trades need licences. After a business enters its licence number, a LingGong admin checks it in public registries such as ESA and TSSA before showing “✓ Licence verified”; unchecked ones only show “Self-reported licence (pending verification)” on the profile.

My business is already in the directory. How do I manage it?

Open your business page, click “Is this your business? Claim it free”, sign up (or log in), verify your email and submit a claim. An admin will call the business phone on the page to confirm, usually within 1–2 business days; it's approved automatically if your email domain matches your business website. Once claimed you can edit your info, upload work, reply to reviews and quote online.

Can pros list fixed prices?

Yes. Add “Service packages” on your profile (e.g. Drain Clearing from $150, two-bedroom Movers $480); customers can book a package and invite you to quote.

What if I'm too busy or on holiday?

On your profile click “Pause new jobs” and choose an end date. While paused you won't get new job alerts or invitations, your profile shows you're not taking jobs, and it resumes automatically (or whenever you choose).

How do pros see only relevant jobs?

In “Job Board”, click “Only jobs that fit me” to list only jobs matching your categories and areas; jobs you've quoted are marked “✓ Quoted”. Matching pros also get an email when a new job is posted.

What is “Business Updates”?

Businesses can post deals, finished projects, availability and more (with one photo); posts appear on their profile and the “Business Updates” page, one every 24 hours.

Too many emails — how do I unsubscribe?

Every notification email has “one-click unsubscribe” at the bottom; you can also turn each type on or off in “My account → Notification settings”. Account security emails (verification, password reset) aren't affected.

Safety Tips

  • Don't pay a large deposit upfront. A small amount for materials is OK, but preferably in person or after completion.
  • For big renovations and Roofing or Electricians work, confirm they hold the relevant Ontario licences (e.g. ESA electrical, TSSA gas) and sign a written contract.
  • Make sure the pro has liability insurance so any damage during the work is covered.
  • Communicate through LingGong where possible, and keep chat records, quotes and receipts.
  • Anyone asking you, in LingGong's name, to send money or give a verification code or bank card details is a scammer. LingGong never charges you anything.
  • If you see a suspicious business, job, review or chat, click “⚑ Report” on the page. If someone harasses you, “Block” them from the top right of the chat window.
